4 Pks of Yo Baby Organic Yogurt Just $.50! February 9, 2011

BMIM reader Katie left a hot comment on BMIM’s Facebook wall (really, if you aren’t a fan on Facebook you’re missing out) about super cheap organic baby yogurt. Some Safeway locations apparently have 4 packs of Yo Baby organic yogurt on clearance for 2/$1, making each 4 pack just $.50! Katie only found the peach flavor at her Safeway, but this is such a good deal it’s definitely worth checking at your local Safeway.

This deal gets even sweeter when you use the $.50/1 coupon from Stonyfield’s website. That would make an unbelievable deal even better!

Thanks, Katie for the hot tip!

Free Snapfish Flip Book from Safeway January 12, 2011

I know…it seems odd that you could get a free Snapfish flip book from Safeway. I don’t really get it either, but hey…I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

There is a new coupon book out at Safeway & in it are a bunch of high value coupons in it. Included is a unique code for a free flip book from Snapfish. The code is valid through 6/30/11 so wait for a free shipping day to take advantage of this offer!

Thanks, Heather!

$2/2 Nivea MQ = Free Lip Balm December 24, 2010

Head over to Nivea on Facebook, “like” them (& “like” BMIM while you’re there), then click on the Coupon tab. You’ll be able to print out a $2/2 coupon for any Nivea lip care products. Then head to your local Safeway.

Safeway has the Nivea Lip Balm on sale for $.99. Buy 2, use the coupon, & score 2 free (just pay the tax if applicable)!

Thanks, My Frugal Adventures.

Safeway = No Cellfire eCoupons November 5, 2010

I don’t shop at Safeway regularly, but for those of you who do….this kinda stinks. Safeway is no longer affiliated with Cellfire. It’s not entirely surprising because of all the confusion over stacking eCoupons with paper coupons, but still….if you shop at Safeway, this isn’t great news.

Hallmark Money Maker at Safeway October 9, 2010

This is a great deal on greeting cards! Safeway has a Catalina promotion running through 10/26/10 where you get a $5 cat WYB 3 Hallmark cards. The $.99 cent cards are excluded, but the $1.49 ones are included in the promo. Here’s how to work this deal:

Buy 3 $1.49 cards = $4.47
Get $5 Catalina (use like cash on your next purchase at Safeway)
= $.53 profit!

You can then turn around & use the Catalina to purchase more cards (plus an additional item to hit the $5 total) & get 3 more cards free & earn an additional $5 Catalina!

I love stocking up on cards when we find deals like this. The last time I did it was last spring at Walgreens when they were free after RR, but I’m running low on cards now, so it’s time to stock up!

Thanks, Frugal Chic Living.

New Cellfire eCoupons April 20, 2010

Cellfire also loaded up new eCoupons. Check them out, load ‘em up, & save money at the cash register….no clipping needed!

I’m loving the Cascadian Farms eCoupons for Safeway! We love their products & to find eCoupons for them is rare. Also, don’t forget, you can now load onto your Fred Meyer card & not have to worry about using Kroger as the store name.

Get $10 Kohl’s Rewards at Safeway March 16, 2010

I had to go to Kohl’s today to return something & on my way out of the store, I saw this sign. March 17-21, when you spend $50 in a single transaction at Safeway & use your Club Card, you’ll get $10 in Kohl’s Rewards. Typically they deduct the coupons after you hit the $50 subtotal, so you could in theory get the $10 in Kohl’s Rewards for less than $50 OOP (out of pocket) after coupons. However, YMMV (your mileage may vary) depending on your Safeway.

You can do this deal as many times as you want, so happy shopping!

Bounty/Charmin Deal March 2, 2010

OK, peeps…..I hope you took advantage of the Bounty/Charmin deal today like I did. In fact, I rolled the Catalina’s & did the deal 3 times (although the 2nd & 3rd times I got 2 pks of Charmin). Here’s how it broke down (after coupons & Catalina’s):

12 rolls of Bounty: 61 cents per roll
120 rolls of Charmin: 16 cents per roll

And I have $10 left in Catalina’s to spend at Safeway (I took that $10 off my total, so my per roll of Charmin would be 24 cents per roll if you don’t subtract that last $10 Catalina). The eCoupons did not come off, but per my phone conversation with P&G today, I’ll call them tomorrow & just have them mail me the $6.

Is that a good deal? Let’s put it into perspective: At Costco, you’ll pay 49 cents per roll for the Kirkland Brand toilet paper & 63 cents per roll for the Charmin. So yeah….this was a good deal!

We now have enough toilet paper to last us 8-9 months. This is the beauty of stock piling. Buy it when it’s cheap, people!

Tuesday Only: Cheap Charmin & Bounty

UPDATE #2: I called P&G & they are having technical problems. Call them, have them verify that your eCoupons are waiting to load to your Club Card. They should be loaded up this evening, but if you want to do the deal now, go make your purchase, save your receipt, & call P&G tomorrow. They will send you a check for th e$6. Impressive customer service! Their # is 888-818-0540.

UPDATE: The Safeway in Mill Creek has these items priced at $13.99, however they still adjust down to $9.99 WYB2. Also, it takes a while for your eCoupons to load to your Club Card, so give yourself a few hours before you head out to Safeway. Mine weren’t showing up, so I didn’t buy the items, but will head back out later.

This deal ends tonight, so make sure you take advantage of it! At Safeway you can score a massive bargain on Charmin & Bounty today. Here’s how it will work:

Buy Charmin 24 Double Rolls $12.99
Buy Bounty 12 Big Rolls $12.99
subtotal: $12.98 (when you buy 2 qualifying items, the price adjusts down to $9.99 each)
– 25 cent Charmin coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
-25 cent Bounty coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
-$3 Charmin eCoupon
-$3 Bounty eCoupon
Spend = $13.48
Get back a $10 Catalina coupon to use on your next purchase
= $3.48 net

Then do the same transaction above (or buy 2 packs of Charmin or 2 packs of Bounty; it doesn’t matter since you’ve used your eCoupons), pay $9.48 (or $9.98 if you don’t have both of the 25 cent paper coupons), but get back another $10 Catalina, making these items essentially free! You can do this as many times as you like.

This is a great way to build your stock pile on paper products. But you need to do this today! Additionally, once you spend $50 on P&G products (before coupons) you can send in your receipts & get a booklet with $100 worth of coupons from P&G.

Thanks to Frugal Living NW for this deal.

Wanna Save 94%? Clip Coupons! February 13, 2010

I hear it all the time: “I’m not sure clipping coupons is worth my time.” Let’s take a look at my day, & you be the judge.

I went to 3 different stores today to snag some great deals. I’m going to make this easy & just give you totals spent & what I received.

Babies R Us: Spent $1.71 OOP (out of pocket)

Walgreens: Spent $5.11 OOP but received $6 RR = 89 cent profit

Safeway: Spent: $3.16 OOP

Total spent after profit: $3.98

For $3.98 I got 2 boxes of Revolution Foods Organic Mashups, 2 bags of Terra Chips, 1 8×10 Photo Collage, 1 Dove Men+Care Body Wash, 6 packs Orbit gum, 240 cotton rounds, 2 bags of Pop Chips, & 4 sticks of Right Guard deodorant. I would have spent $63.43+tax on these items if I hadn’t clipped coupons & used in store discounts (Register Rewards & eGift Cards). That means I saved 94%! Actually, it was a bit more because I didn’t include tax when I calculated the percentage, but you get my point.
Yes, I went to 3 stores. Yes, it took me an hour & forty five minutes. But I was able to shop by myself for an hour & forty five minutes; I was happy doing it! And really…..I’m okay with spending that time shopping if I can save 94%. Additionally, I’m donating the deodorant & shower gel to a food shelter, which makes me feel even better about spending the time couponing. I love that someone else can benefit from my time spent clipping coupons.

So you tell me….would you spend less than 2 hours shopping if you could save 94%?
